Summers in the USA – Done the Morris Way
Every summer for the last 25 years, the Morris Academy has taken their students on a fun and unforgettable trip to the United States. There, each student lives with a host family who has children, learning about American culture and being immersed in English but in a natural and fun way.
The academy directors and staff members are present in each location offered and act as monitors, teachers, friends and liaisons for the students during their stay in the United States.
All families are hand-picked by the academy to ensure our students have the best time possible!
Why Choose Morris Academy?
We are a trusted name in the Basque Country with over 25 years experience in organizing fun and successful summer abroad programs.
Here are just a few reasons why we believe we are the best at it:
Our language school has maintained close ties with Utah since the director of Morris Academy underwent his undergraduate studies there.
Likewise, Mazi (our native-speaking English professor in Hernani) grew up in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, so you can rest assured that we will be able to share the delights of both places with you!
The families that each child will stay with have been carefully selected by us and our friends in both Utah and Washington, D.C.
We know from experience that the program depends on the quality and amiability of the host families.
We take the safety and well-being as our highest priority and strive to keep it that way. The director and staff members of Morris Academy personally accompany the group going to the USA and will stay there so as to take care of any eventuality that might arise.
We shall be in constant contact with the American family and the student that they host.
Moreover, there are classes on offer, three hours a week which will be taught by Michael Morris in Utah, and Amaia Morris in Washington, D.C.
For Washington, D.C., classes will involve not only an English lesson, but tours of DC monuments and historical sights, as well as world-famous museums (which are all free)!
